Cash Cleaner Simulator

A crazy game that takes money laundering very seriously, and even literally, with a washing and drying machine. Scan every incoming package for collectibles, as that can be very grindy if not started searching for them early on. No missable achievements, and completion takes around 18 hours.

You’re held captive in a weird bunker-type building, and it is your job to help criminals laundry their money and bundle it in organized stacks. They are also very specific about how to deliver the money to them, and sometimes, they want money that is marketable. However, those criminals mostly send you more money than they ask for in return, and you can use that money to pay off your ransom, so you are free to go.

Cash Cleaner Simulator is a crazy simulator-type game. You wash dirty money, most of the time quite literally in a washing machine, and then put it in a dryer. I love these crazy games. Who thought of making a game where you take money laundry literally? And in some ways, it is pretty realistic. For example, there are bags (and sneaky later on also non-marked bags) that when you open them normally, a verf bomb will explode and the money is tainted. You have to cut open those bags to avoid the verf bomb. However, be careful with which money bills you put into your machinery. I got quite devastated 2 times in my playthrough. First time when putting dirty money in my money counter, and could throw the machinery away as afterwards it would dirty every money going through it from that moment on. And the second time was even worse, late in the game, I finally had enough money to buy the deluxe money counter (XXL), and then there was one bill with verf on it, and from that moment, every bill that came out had verf on it. While this is realistic, it is also a bit annoying. For this reason, as well as for the collectibles, you want to scan every item that comes inside your warehouse once you unlock this ability, to make sure you don’t miss a bill and can throw away the items you have.

Besides those moments, I had a great time. I had a system on my floor (I just wish I hadn’t done it so close to the spot where items enter your vault) with the types of bills sorted and other piles where they were in stacks of 100. I waited a long time to pay off my ransom, as I prefer to have the money lying around and being able to finish jobs with money from earlier jobs quickly. Then, I took my time to sort out the new money. At that time, I only used tainted money toward my random, which counts toward it. I also only focused on dollars and euros. Everything else went toward the random payoff as well. Oh, and I highly recommend keeping the fake money separated, as some jobs ask for fake money specifically, like with marked bills.

None of the achievements in Cash Cleaner simulator are missable as far as I can tell, and completion takes around 18 hours. However, I highly recommend scanning all incoming boxes for the missing collectibles and maybe checking out the guide on Steam for those specific bills early on so you know where to find most of them and hang them on the board as soon as you unlock the third area. That way, the ones you have don’t spawn anymore, and maybe increase the chances of the ones you are still looking for? I also chose the ending that the same Steam guide mentioned for the last bill, just to be sure I didn’t miss out on it. So, not sure what happens if you choose the other ending. You can keep playing after going through the ending.

I give Cash Cleaner Simulator 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is an addictive game with a weird but great premise and story.
