Another great adventure with Duck Detective! However, the stories are standalone, so you can even start with this one. It has a great story, stunning voice-overs, and lovely puzzles. Completion takes around 2,5h and it has no missable achievements.

It is wonderful to be back in the world of Duck Detective! The developers at Happy Broccoli Games did it again! They made an incredible story with a genius tutorial. It doesn’t even feel like a tutorial, just a confined space to set your first steps and learn the mechanics to directly throw you into a bigger area to do it again, and then the real game starts. However, the first 2 areas are already part of the story. So, no boring tutorial telling you in endless ways what to do, you’re on your way in mere minutes!
I want to take a quick moment to highlight that the two games have pretty standalone stories. You can play this second title without having played the first. However, I highly recommend playing them both as they are just awesome!
It is wonderful to see how the voice-overs and the puzzles set the tone of the game. They match so well together and are perfect for a detective game. You will talk with people to get more info, look around for clues, or look within specific spaces/items. The latter is done with a magnifying glass, which makes the blurry vision sharp—a very cool effect. In the last type of puzzle, you have to draw conclusions by filling in the gaps in a text with things you know and by deducting which of the other options are correct. To help you with that, you can find essential items and clues in your notebook, so you don’t have to return to that spot to look again.
The Duck Detective games are pretty short, but this is perfect. It is nice to play through the whole game in an evening without the story getting drawn out or having filler content. When the game is loading, you will learn information about ducks. However, I’m still disturbed by the burrito fact! (Play the game to learn this fact and many others :P)
None of the achievements in Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping are missable. Most of them are part of the story. Only two are not, but if you miss them, you can go back into the game after the ending and still complete them.
I give Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping 4.5 out of 5 stars. Please, can we get another sequel?
