An awesome RTS with base building with so much humor. The narrator lifts this game up so much. takes around 30h, no missable achievements but has a multiplayer achievement.
Approximate amount of time to 100%: 30h
Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: Yes, I used this one , which has them nicely sorted by level.
Multiplayer achievements: Yes
Missable achievements: No, as there is level selection
Grinding Achievements: Yes, there are grindy achievements for getting gold and mana. Gladly the game plays also when it is not the active screen. so running it in the background and let the game grind gold/mana is highly recommended once you have unlocked the other achievements.
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No
The humor in Dungeons 2 is top-notch! I love being evil in games and with such a narrator helping you on your way and reminding you of the objective… is just awesome! The narrator is the same is in The Stanley Parable, for those who know that game. and he does such a good job. The humor, the sarcasm! it is just everything.
Dungeons 2 is a strategy RTS with base building. You build your base underground, which helps you collect resources to buy more troops. However, those pesky humans have found the entrance(s) to your cave and are set on destroying it. Gladly you have access to a lot of traps (my favorite is the gold chest, just to see them explode in the hero’s faces), and troops. And this also gives you opportunities to level up your troops.
I did enjoy the story Dungeons 2 told, and the gameplay was a lot of fun. But as already said the highlight of the game is the humor and the narrator, those lift up this experience so much. And I was glad to hear that they kept the same narrator for Dungeons 3 & 4.
Most of the achievements you’ll unlock by playing through the game. none is missable because you can replay a level. There is at least one achievement that requires multiplayer, and there are a few grindy ones.
I highly recommend Dungeons 2 if you’re in the mood for being evil, while also being entertained!
