In Grandma, No! you just woke up and got a phone call. Unexpectedly, you have to babysit your grandchild. And to make matters worse, you have a long to-do list with items you still need to do in and around the house. So off you go to the garden, the kitchen or the living room to do your tasks while also watching the baby.

Grandma, no! is a silly and cartoony sandbox-y game with ragdoll physics. You fall easily, and gladly, you even get rewarded for that, as there is an achievement for falling 50 times. You find a few mandatory tasks in each space, but besides that, there is a whole list of hidden tasks to do. From watering plants to helping some animals decide who to win in a battle, you’ll see a lot of crazy stuff during this short game. Figuring out those hidden tasks is fun and can be challenging.

I had so much fun playing through Grandma, no!. I only have 2 complaints, and they come from a place of enjoying it so much that I wish there was more. The game has 3 maps with tasks, and they are quite small. However, a lot of crazy stuff is going on there, and each one even has a secret event. I like that the areas itself are not too big, but I wish there was a room of 2 more. However, you also don’t want to overstay your welcome, so maybe it is good that the game is short. The other complaint is that there were not that many tasks that included the baby. I wish there were just a bit more. However, it is adorable that the baby will throw stuff away if you give it an objective. Both complaints are very minor, and as stated above, I just had a lot of fun with Grandma, No!. Destroying the rooms happened accidentally(it were accidents, really… please believe me.. I didn’t use this game as a “rage room”…), but it was also great to destroy them. Gladly, everything is fine again after reloading the area. So you can’t screw up yourself by destroying too much.

Grandma, No! has no missable achievements, and completion takes around 3 hours without a guide. I highly recommend playing without a guide, as it is already a short game, and it just is so much more rewarding when you figure out the hidden items on the checklist yourself. Almost all achievements are based on completing all the objectives in the game. Only a few are a little bit different, for example, finding 10 gems in the garden, baking 10 things in the oven, and falling down 50 times.

I give Grandma, No! 4 out of 5 stars.
