Hell Pie is a gross but very enjoyable 3d platformer (not for children). I did enjoy the game a lot, but finding the last collectibles is horrible. It has no missable achievements and completion takes 20h+.
Approximate amount of time to 100%: 20h+ at this moment, read below to understand why this might be less time-consuming in the future.
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10

Hell Pie is a nice but very gross 3d platformer. I did like the story a lot and the variation in the different levels and hub world. I really like how the developers went all in on the theme, if you choose something like this you should go as crazy as you can think of and they clearly did that. However, I did close my eyes when offering unilambs, as that was just too sad to see. Having bad fortune to humans felt fine, but to see sweet and very colorful lambs being hurt.. that I wish to unsee. I watched it the first time and after that, I always closed my eyes while doing the ritual 😛
The game has some unique movement sets with the slingshot and how it is used. It took a little bit of time to get used to it, especially when you have only one swing, but it gets easier and more forgiving with the upgrades you’ll get. I also like the many costumes that are offered in the game, for your character but also for Nugget (The baby kind of thing that is your hookshot).
I enjoy the game so much till after the end boss, but as an achievement hunter, the game at this moment is a bit rough. It has many collectibles to find, and in the levels themselves it isn’t too bad and youtube videos can help you a lot, but in the hub worlds.. those are so big and there are so many collectibles that it is very hard to find the missing ones. The developers are thinking about implementing a system to have an indication of where to find the collectibles you missed and I really hope they will implement that in the future, but that might take a while if they implement it.
I tried my very best to go for the 100% completion, but after looking for the last missed collectibles for hours and following 30+ minute youtube video’s to find them, I just got too bored and too frustrated to continue. I’ll come back for sure if the developers implement something to have a clue where the missing ones are as it would be awesome to have this game completed s beside this the game was amazing.
