Great and addictive game if you aren’t an achievement hunter that wants to go for 100%. It has so many fun combos and objectives to try out. Sadly it has some very grindy achievements in the case you want to go for 100%.

I have a bit of a hard time writing this review as an achievement hunter. This game is so much fun and very addictive when you first start with it and see how much is in it. So many combos, and so many crazy things you want to do. I don’t play many games without achievements, but for this kind of game, achievements are what make me do those weird combos and challenges, which I wouldn’t even think of myself. So I’m very glad to see that the game got a lot of achievements in release 1.0 after the early access period. I would even expect the quite luck-based one because of the nature of this game, a lot you can just work on to get them but the ones where you have to do something before a certain payment are quite luck based.
And I hear you ask in your head right now… then why do I have a hard time writing this review if so far everything sounds good…? Well, the game has some very grindy achievements, and even that feels like an understatement. It has achievements for winning 777 times, okay this can be done in 10/15 minutes or so but that is already over 120h if you succeed every time you play the game. But to make it even more, after you beat the landlord you can keep playing and winning the game with a certain item when you have 1 billion coins.. this takes over 30 minutes, more like an hour, and you need to do 77 times for an achievement, which makes that completing this game takes over 150 hours.
I really love the idea of this game, and it is so addictive for the first 20h or so. It has also a lot of mods (Be aware that using those disables achievements). So there is so much to explore and enjoy in this game, but they went totally overboard with the grindy achievements.
So I highly recommend this game if you think you’ll enjoy this kind of game and don’t care about achievements or don’t want to go for the 100% but are more likely to go for the 75%, but if you like to 100% games, this might not be the game for you.
