PAKO Caravan

A nice spin on the snake formula but with cars and you can jump. It has 16 exciting levels with different tasks on each of them. Very challenging but no missable achievements. 1 Local co-op achievement.

When I saw this game, I got very excited, as Snakeybus is one of my favorite games that has the snake mechanic in it but does something different. This looks cute and more polished, which it is and it also has a lot more levels and some very unique challenges on each map. However, I wasn’t prepared for how hardcore this cute-looking game is. And even when I knew I wouldn’t be able to unlock all the achievements, as I’m just missing the skill level to do that… I kept playing to see how many challenges I could complete.

I would also like to highlight how responsive the controls feel. When you turn left or right, your car instantly goes left or right. You can make very sharp turns or even do a 360 degree within a second or so.

As said above, I like how it adds a spin to the snake formula, but another thing that PAKO Caravan does well is that you don’t have to complete all the challenges on a level to unlock the next one. You need a certain amount of stars before the next level opens up. That way you won’t get stuck early on in the game and can increase your skill level while playing new levels.

I’m also surprised by the challenges. There are a few that are in every level, like having a “snake of X amount of cars” and hitting every cone, but there are also special ones for each level, like jumping X amount of times over obstacles, cleaning up all the oil with your car, use every portal in the level. It was so nice to unlock a new level and check out the new challenges. It is also nice that your car can change based on the level.

Overall the game is very challenging and the challenges are even harder. It has no missable achievements but completing PAKO Caravan isn’t easy at all. It has achievements to beat every challenge. And every level has 10 challenges (as far as I could tell, I played the first 8 or so levels). It has one local multiplayer achievement.

I give PAKO Caravan 3,5 out of 5 stars.
