wrote my original review on 30 October 2018 but I’m now updating the review because I just completed all the achievements. The developers have worked hard on the game during this time and I’m glad to report it has a lot fewer bugs. I only encountered 1 this second time around.
Approximate amount of time to 100%: 20-25h
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: You’ll play each level at least twice if you go for completion
Is there a good guide available: Yes, I used this one and this one
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No you can play on medium and still get all the achievements
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: NoA party next door keeps you awake… what else to do about it then kill the people who are having fun! This is part 2 in the series and has a lot more in it. More items to help you kill people, more story, more objectives (also hidden objectives), and experience you can earn with the different objectives.
This game has a few basic achievements like beat the game, craft an item, complete a hidden objective. Most of all it has loads of achievements to kill people in a certain way or let something happen at a specific level. The 2 most challenging achievements are to complete all the objectives and kill everybody in every level. I would suggest first go for killing everybody and then later mop up all the objectives, this way you don’t need a guide on your first playthrough and you might already get a lot of the objectives.
For the achievements that use the workshop, I would highly suggest first completing 10 workshop levels of others. There are a lot of levels that only take a few seconds. And then make your own level. Making your own level can bug the workshop menu in this game, if that is the case for you, here you can find the solution to fixing it.
Some pros:
+ Visual the games look a lot better than the first one in this series
+ I like the new objectives, in party hard (1) the layout of levels were different but the objective was always the same
+ A lot of fun achievements to work toward, these are the kind of achievements I like the most
I loved Party Hard and this one can become even higher on my favorite list. I enjoyed going back to this game and getting all the achievements I didn’t get the first time because back then it had some bugs that annoyed me, but they are ironed out by now.
This review is updated on 8 June 2021 based on the Steam version which has 41 achievement when I write this review. The information can be outdated when developers add or remove achievements.
