Awesome action game where you play as a possum and try to eat as much as possible without getting caught. Takes around 4h to 100% but it has 1 buggy achievement, gladly it is at the start of the game.
Approximate amount of time to 100%: 4h
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3 (But runs can be as short as 10/15 minutes each)
Is there a good guide available: Yes, here is an awesome guide for finding all 20 Zepolle
Multiplayer achievements: No, but the game is easier in co-op
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty setting, but as stated above, it is easier in co-op
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: Sadly yes, the Chippies’ achievement can be buggy, but it gladly is at the beginning of the game.
I was gifted this game yesterday. I had it on my wishlist because it just looks cute but I didn’t know much about the game. It was a nice surprise, what an awesome little game this is!
You play as a possum, who can eat all day long… and you want that pizza that the princess at the top of the city has just baked! So you eat enough food to unlock a gate, to get to the next gate, and keep eating while going there. Gladly food respawns, so you can wait around an area you’re comfortable with.. because when you get caught, you are sent back to your last save point (or in run 2 and 3, to the start of run 1).
The game is easy to understand, the world is lovely and it has a lot of humor. I like the easy control scheme (Move with the right stick, A button to use items). When you collect enough fruit you’ll unlock new items and they get better and better the more you unlock. you keep the unlocks, but not the collected items when you get caught. This game is easier in co-op because if one gets caught, the other can help free the first person. While in singleplayer you’re just doomed and get sent back to an earlier point.
There are achievements for collecting all 20 Zepolle, for doing certain things, and for finishing the game. Furthermore, the longest achievement will be to win 3 times without getting caught once while there are more guards each run. This is a bit challenging but if you fail, at least you get points towards the next unlock which will make this easier. I first hated the idea of this achievement… I didn’t think I could do it. However, when I tried I came close so many times so I knew it was doable and it was kinda fun to just, and that ending after the third run is cute! There also is an achievement for unlocking all the items, working on this one first will make the 3 crowns one so much easier.
However, less fun is that there is a broken achievement for many people. You have to chase away an NPC (bird is the easiest option here) through the map. This can be done as soon as you unlock the second gate and I’m wondering if it only works when doing it before finishing the game or something like that? I saw online comments about changing the languages/restarting pc/ reinstalling the game but that all didn’t help me unlock the achievement. My last option seems to be starting a new save, but I’m waiting with that for a little bit because maybe my save/ and testing things can help figure out the problem. Furthermore, I’m not even sure that will unlock the achievement.
UPDATE: I moved my save file to another folder for a moment, after turning steam cloud off, so a new save file would be created, and with that, I was able to get the buggy achievement. I hope they can fix this buggy achievement so nobody has a problem with it anymore.
