Plantera 2 Golden Acorn

Plantera 2: Golden Acorn is a short clicker/idle game that can be completed in around 6h. It is a fun game that doesn’t overstay its welcome and has no missable achievements.

Is there a good guide available: You don’t need a guide
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No

Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No, one achievement didn’t pop for me but restarting the game and loading my save fixed this. I also know that the developer is working on figuring out why this one doesn’t pop automatically.

Plantera was a fun short idle/clicker game in which it is a lot faster to complete the game while playing actively. Plantera 2 is kinda the same, you can let the game run and come back from time to time (or close it and come back after 30 minutes or more) and get to the ending this way, but if you actively click the items in the garden, to collect them or to let them drop faster so your workers pick them up, it goes a lot faster. My 4h playtime was in the beginning quite active and after an hour I went do some other things while running this in the background and checking on the game every 20 minutes or so.

Clicker games aren’t for everybody, it kinda feels like my guilty pleasure (that also is the case for those time management games). I prefer clicker games to not overstay their welcome and this is something that Plantera 2 understands and does well. It is fun for a short while but after an evening you’re finished and that is totally fine.

I love the artwork in Plantera 2, so many of the animals are so cute. I had some trouble with the resolution. It doesn’t have resolution options in the game at this moment, so I choose to have it not full screen and resize the window myself to what I would prefer, but that had an impact on the looks of the game. I’m not sure if that has totally to do with the resolution as I can also see it on the screenshots on Steam, but it felt a bit off.
