Rhythm Sprout is an amazing rhythm game with a lot of humor. The story is a bit generic but that doesn’t matter at all as it is packed with humor. Almost every cutscene made me laugh as there always comes a funny and clever moment. I also enjoyed the references to other media (mostly film and tv series) a lot.

Personally, I suck at rhythm games, I have no feeling for rhythm at all, and I could see this again in this game. This game is so challenging, but to be fair on steam you get a warning as it has the “difficult” tag on the store page. It isn’t possible for me to unlock all the achievements in Rhythm Sprout, but because of easy mode, I had the chance to play through the story and unlock as much as possible. So I’m glad the developers added the option to make the levels a lot easier.

The game has no missable achievements, and a lot of them you already unlock by going through the main story and the prologue. There is an achievement to answer “yes” and another for answering “no” to every question in the game. A lot of cutscenes have multiple combinations, which means you have to watch them twice or more. Gladly you can just select the cutscene from the level selection. The following levels have a cutscene with questions: 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23.
For a few other achievements you have to play on an extra mode that unlocks after completing a level, you have to do those on different levels (so you can’t play level 1 5 times with “mirror” on), but for those achievements, it is allowed to turn “easy mode” on which makes them very doable.
I was able to unlock 77% of the achievements while I really suck at this type of game.. and then I mean really really suck. But getting all the CDs will be a real challenge.

Oh and then I have one more note, but it contains spoilers, so only read it if you don’t mind getting a small spoiler:
