Skeletal Avenger is an amazing roguelite game with so much humor. It is very challenging at the beginning, but you’ll get overpowered, which is so much fun! No missable achievements and completion take a little over 20h.

I had so much fun playing this roguelite! At first, it was very hard but I was so charmed by the looks and especially how you can throw your head at somebody as a ranged attack. I found it so funny looking to run around headless. Also, the head armor you wear can change the effect of your range attack. Later on, it became easier because you can farm for gold to buy more skills and get more powerful that way. There were a lot of moments where I felt really overpowered and that just felt so very good in this game!
The game has 4 different areas on the map, which you will unlock by killing the boss in the previous area. Each area has its own type of map with different types of monsters. This was nice as it kept things fresh (but man I disliked those stealthy hunters in the third area a lot :P).
What I also found amazing is that you start with a perk and that can determine your playstyle. If you get a perk to start with where your dash does damage to enemies, or leave a puddle with purple poison behind, that might let you play a more “dash away from monsters” playstyle. While the perk where your head returns quickly after you threw it might make the strategy for just doing range attacks with your skill more fun. That these changes make the game fun for a longer time, but gladly they also give you control over it, since at the beginning of each new “life” (do you have a life as an undead??) you get to choose between 3 perks, so it isn’t that random which perk you start with.
None of the achievements in Skeletal Avenger are missable, so you don’t have to worry about them at all. Even if you miss any that seems easier in the beginning areas but you don’t have to quests around anymore when strong enough, there is a way to go back and restart the map while keeping all your skills, trinkets, and armor.
