Undead & Beyond Review

Undead & Beyond

Undead & Beyond is a very enjoyable action game that combines stealth with having an army fight for you. I like this type of game and it gets even better when your army levels up. less than 5h to completion, no missables.

In this action game you control a mad scientist that tries to escape the facility. To do that you use the products of research you did to revive people and killed undead to swarm your enemies. You also have a few other items to help support your undead army.

I did enjoy this game a lot. Resurrecting as many undead as possible to swarm your army while not getting hit yourself, since you only have 3 lives. For me, this combines the stealth genre I like and to have troops fighting for you while you don’t have much control, which I also like in a lot of games when it is implemented in the right way. It gets even better when you level up and your army gets more abilities.

The game starts quite easy and you’ll unlock a lot of achievements already in the first 2 levels. The rest of the achievements you’ll unlock while beating the first 10 levels. The game is longer but for unlocking all the achievements you only have to beat the first 10 levels. I struggled a bit from level 5 upwards (although 9 felt easier than the levels before it). It might be possible to beat this game in 3-4h if you don’t make so many stupid mistakes as I did :P.
