Underquest

Interesting but challenging Inventory Management/Auto Battle Roguelite. It has missable achievements for the different difficulties, as well as for the different bosses. Back up your save file before you attempt those last bosses. I guess that completion takes around 5 to 6 hours.

Underquest is a roguelite in which you will go through 3 different dungeons a few times. It is an auto battler but you manage the inventory space of your hero and can use the items from the inventory. These are items like potions, spells, and bombs. The spells are the main focus here, and they are created by combining two elements. Later on, you can even combine 2 of the same spells (bombs/potions) to make them even stronger.

The difficulty you choose impacts how hard the enemies are and how much time you get to use items and spells from the inventory. The time slows down on lower difficulties when your mouse is in the inventory, but this isn’t the case on the highest difficulty.

It was very nice to collect money to buy the different upgrades from the people you met on your journey. This are upgrade like combining items, more extra pots to break during your runs, but also people who offer their service in the dungeon for a little cheaper. While you are still collecting money for upgrades I highly recommend selling your items/ gear and not combined elements before entering the last door so you take a bit of extra money back to our base to use for upgrades.

PS, watch out not to overwrite your save file! At this moment, when you choose “new game” from the main menu, it will overwrite your save without a warning. I hope the developers will add a warning so it is less likely to happen by accident.

Underquest has some missable achievements. One is very early on when you have the option in the story to try and sell the Mimic for 500 gold, others are for doing specific things on boss fights, as well as playing on the highest difficulty. For the boss fights, I highly recommend backing up your save file before fighting them so you can later restore your save file and try those you didn’t manage to do. I’m unsure if you unlock the lower difficulties when you complete the game on the highest difficulty, as I’m stuck on the last few boss fights. I’m just not able to beat them, and I have already bought all the upgrades, so it now comes down to mostly speed and skill level, and it just seems that I can’t kill them, let alone do it in a specific way. (Extra note: I’m not a hardcore gamer, I prefer playing my games on easy, but wanted to give it a try and see if I maybe could unlock all the achievements myself)

I give Underquest 3.5 out of 5 stars.
