Wake Cup – 100% Achievement Guide

Welcome to my guide for Wake Cup!

Wake Cup is a tower defense game in which you throw coffee at zombies to wake them up. So, a lot of the achievements are just for completing levels, doing endless levels, using new abilities, and finding all the different blobs. However, there is one missable achievement: getting to the end in under 31 days, which is quite a challenge.

You can get all the achievements by playing the game twice; however, it is more likely to be done in three playthroughs (this is with backing up your save file for the 31-day challenge). My recommendation is to first play the game, taking your time to unlock stuff and do the endless challenges, just to get familiar with the game and also to buy everything in the shop. I recommend not buying the Hype Curse and Phantom Brew until you finish the endless achievements.

Wait with buying the ascend upgrade, as this will reset everything and unlocks a higher difficulty. Buy that upgrade last and after you have unlocked all the “endless” achievements. Go through the game again, but focus mostly on the path toward the ending and the upgrades for the express, roaster, farm, and Hotspot. Take your time farming likes, as completing 10 days of endless on the Terminus level is very challenging on this difficulty.

And lately make a new save and go for the 31 challenge. Back up your save file a bunch of times so you have spots to go back to and do not have to start all over again.

I’ll explain more and give tips at the end of this guide, when I’ll discuss those achievements in depth.

Blobs, Likes, Coins and Clicks

I used an auto clicker for this game, as you will have to click a lot. You won’t have enough blobs to support the farms and roasters in the later stages of the endless challenges.

You receive likes for completing levels, and for how many days you stayed on levels, as well as for how many “customers aka zombies” you served and a small part for how much money you have at the end of a level. You will need a lot of likes for the achievement to buy every upgrade in the shop, so just keep them coming.

Save 10000 coins in a level
You have to save up 10k gold during a level. There are at least 10 levels you have to stay alive for 10 days, it is easily doable on those levels after upgrading everything, just keep collecting the money.

You get a lot of eggs during the first day so you can let them work on different things. After that, you get one at the start of each day.

Most of them can come out of any egg. However, one is sneaky hidden in a plane sight at level Cruise Landing. A few of them can only be found in eggs in the two Halloween levels. One of those took me ages to find, but its silhouette clearly showed it had a spooky hat.

Completing Levels and Endless Modes

For the following achievements, you need to finish a level, and then there is also an achievement tide to staying alive in endless mode for X amount of days. The amount of days differs per level. I’ll do my best to sort the levels in the order you encounter them. There are a few crossroads where you can choose which way to go, so don’t feel obligated to do them in this order.

Some endless runs are challenging, so feel free to leave them while you play through the game initially and first grind up points to buy more skills, as that will make them much easier. I recommend not buying the Hype Curse and Phantom Brew until you finish the endless achievements.

Different Abilities

Wake Cup has many options for upgrading your towers. I would focus on the things you seem to struggle with when you play on endless. I recommend not buying the Hype Curse and Phantom Brew until you finish the endless achievements, as this would make them so much harder. However, after you have completed those endless challenges, buy it so you can buy all the skills faster.

Most of the achievements in this category unlock after upgrading a tower in a level when you use the upgrade specified by the achievement. So, for the achievement to upgrade to express level 3, you have to do this in a level, and the achievement will pop.

This is one of the first achievements you’ll unlock.

Shopping Spree
Buy all the items in the shop!
Buy the Ascend upgrade in the HQ section last! As this will reset everything. After you finished the endless achievements, buy Hype Curse and Phantom Brew to increase the amount of likes you get with each run.

Economy

These abilities help your blobs work faster and your clicks stronger. Which is awesome as then you need less of them at one spot to have the same result. It also has abilities to earn more likes, however they also increase the amount of zombies, so only unlock those once you have done all the endless achievements.

Express

This is your main tower. It has achievements for increasing its level. the higher the level the faster it shoots as well as the bigger the area is it covers.

Farm

This tower is where you get your coffee beans from, which the roaster needs to prepare the coffee for the towers. Upgrading the level of this tower influences how much beans are harvested with each click. The Granary upgrades increase how much beans you can be stored.

Roaster

The roaster prepares coffee for the towers using the harvested beans. The roaster’s level determines how fast the coffee is made, and the Canister determines how much coffee can be stored.

Hotspot

Hotspots will stop zombies from moving on. The higher the level, the faster they can stop the zombies again and the bigger the area they influence. There are also upgrades for how long the zombies are stopped, but for those, there aren’t any achievements.

Bombard

Bombards are towers that do an area effect, however they do less damage. The achievements are for upgrading the towers which increases how fast they shoot again and how big the area they cover is.

HQ

HQ towers help you with earning money. Every time the timer in the bottom right corner is full, you can press 1 to get 50 coins. You can also load them up with other special abilities; most of the achievements below require you to use that ability 10 times. The pumpkin ability can be found in one of the 2 Halloween levels.

In this tree, you also find the ability to ascend. Only buy those after you have done everything you wanted to do in your first playthrough, as this will reset everything and increase the difficulty of the game.

Ending Achievements

Win The Game
Save the economy.
To finish the game, you have to take the path to the right. I recommend checking the next level so you know how long to play your current level to unlock it. Initially, you just beat the previous level, but later on, you have to do endless mode on the previous level for 3, 5, and 10 days.

Speedrun
Win the game in less than 31 days.
This one and Obsession are the hardest achievements in the game. For this achievement you have just minimal time to grind for upgrades. I would recommend just playing through the levels and get to unlock Terminus. At that point, check how many days you have and grind a bit on Terminus before you do the real attempt to stay alive for 10 days in endless mode.

Things I did to make this easier:
– You can skip the tutorial to save a day.
– Focus your upgrades only on the things you will be using on this 10 days grind. Below you see a screenshot of the upgrades I had unlocked when beating this challenge.
– When you grind for likes, go to the last wave of a day and in the middle of the wave surrender, so it will not count an extra day without using it to the fullest.
– Just focus on express towers, hotspots and the roaster and farm.
– Place an express tower at the right of the green tree and use blobs to make its range bigger, as now it can shoot the zombies that come from the metro exit. This can also be done with a hotspot on the spot above. In the screenshot below both hotspot also influence the zombies coming from this entrance.
– Most importantly, back up your save file at different points so you can go back if you fail or if you are not happy with the upgrades you choose. So make different backups. You can find your save file at: %appdata%\Godot\app_userdata\Wake Cup\Saves

Here are a screenshot of the upgrades I had unlock when I managed to beat this challenge and a screenshot where I show my setup. Keep an eye out for the green checkmarks next to the upgrades. In the screenshot, it may look like I bought bombard abilities, but I didn’t, as I didn’t use that tower in this challenge.

Caffeinated Revelation
Ascend once
Buy the ascend ability for this achievement to unlock. Keep in mind that this will reset everything and increase the difficulty of the game. So buy this after you have done everything you wanted to do in your first playthrough.

Obsession
Win the game after ascending at least once.
This and “Speedrun” are the two hardest achievements in the game. This is challenging because of you need to stay alive for 10 days in the level Terminus to unlock the ending. Gladly you can just spend all the time you want grinding likes for upgrades. Don’t buy the upgrades that give you more likes as they will increase the amount of enemies as well! Here a screenshot of my setup which with I managed to beat the game on the Ascend 2 difficulty. I Use blobs on the express tower on the right of the green tree to increase its range so it can hit the zombies coming from the entrance in the middle. The same for the hotspot above it.
