Wind Peaks Review

Wind peaks

Wind Peaks is a nice “Where’s Waldo,” type of game. It takes around 4h to complete the game. Keep in mind that it doesn’t save your progress in the level, so if you quit, you’ll have to start over the whole level.

I like that there are more and more of these hidden objective games without you having to walk around. Just a map like in the old “Where’s Waldo,” books that I “Read,” a lot as a child.

I’ve played Wind Peaks without a guide and it is one of the more challenging ones. Some items are hard to find and at this moment, the game doesn’t save your progress within a level, so when you quit, you have to start over the next time. The developers are looking into changing this, but at the time of writing, that’s the way it remains.

Another thing that makes the above issue even more annoying is that almost all the items have 3 to 4 different spots where they can spawn, so, when you restart a level later, you’ll have to really look for the same items all over again. Luckily, player “Csontzuzo” made a lovely guide for where to find all the items, very useful for when you’re stuck.

I enjoyed this game a lot but I really do hope that the developers will implement a save option within the level because the combination of the two points above makes this game way harder and more annoying than it needs to be.

At the end there is a trailer for a second game, I hope this will be released as I enjoy this type of game, a lot!
